Human Resouces Generalist

AZZ Enclosure Systems is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for the Millington, MD facility. The HR Generalst provides support to all employees at assigned facility in: benefits, recruiting, compensation, training, payroll, employee and labor relations, safety and workers' compensation.
Essential Functions:
Recruit, interview and hire new talent for the organization.
Manage benefit enrollment process.
Assist in maintaining safety program, OSHA and EPA compliance.
Interact with other members of the organizationand provide advice on HR issues as requested.
Builds strong business relationship with plant leadership team to assist in setting business priorities and work activities.
Investigate complaints and/or approve resolution issues.
Analyzes HR data to identify trends and establish metrics.
Address employee concerns quickly and responsibly, and ensure respect and confidentiality to all.
Provide interpretations of policies and applicable state laws
Develop hourly and salary training programs to meet the development needs of the organization.
Handle community affairs for the organization. Present a positive image as the agent of the organization at all times.
Works with plant leadership team to establish and ensure adherence to budgets and business plan.
Assist with projects and additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Certificates, licenses, registrations: A Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred. A valid driver's license under no type of suspension is required. A valid passport may be required.
Knowledge/Skills: Must process strong business acumen. Must be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment, able to efficiently plan, organize and complete work assignments within a specific timeframe while handling multiple tasks at one time. Advanced office skills are required. Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office products and have familiarity with Internet. Must possess excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of human resource experience is required. Basic familiarity with employment regulations such as FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and WARN is required.
Language Skills: Fluent in English (oral and written) is required. Spanish speaking and writing skills highly preferred.
Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages, basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability: Inductive and deductive reasoning, ability to draw conclusions, selective attention. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Travel Requirement: Travel up to 20% may be required domestically.
Physical Demands : Majority of the time is spent sitting, some standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting less than 25 lbs. Must be able to see at close range, and perform repetitive hand/arm motions.
Work Environment: Indoor, air conditioned environment. Some exposure to outdoor elements and production environment.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
